BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — Two Boise businesses have made the top 20 list for best places to work in 2019.
Outside Magazine released its 50 Best Places to Work in 2019 list on Monday. Boise's Duft Watterson andLone Cone both made it in the top 20.
Duft Watterson, a full-service branding and advertising agency, ranked No. 11. Outside Magazine highlighted its periodic Friday afternoons off to ride, ski, or float the Boise River to a microbrewery.
"All employees receive a Linus bike after 30 days of employment," said Tony Hart, an associate creative director. "It encourages us to lower our carbon footprint and it increases our mobility around town."
Lone Cone, a kid's outdoor gear shop, ranked No. 17. The magazine highlighted its flexible scheduling, the ability to work remote, a downtown office just steps away from the foothills, gear discounts, routine “play days” for boating or skiing, and “Amazing Race” runs through Boise.
“This is a first for us,” said Annalisa DeMarta, a co-founder of Lone Cone. “We are beyond honored to be included in Outside’s Best Places to Work and stand next to some of today’s most innovative outdoor companies. It’s truly rewarding to be included in this group of like-minded companies out there striving to change the way we look at the modern workplace.”
Of the 50, many businesses are marketing, design, or advertising firms.
